The ship also came equipped with deflector shields, with the shield generators being inside the ship, and better protected than shield generators on Imperial warships. The class was also equipped with unique Terran weapons, including 10 missile launchers for Space Sparrow anti-starfighter missiles, 6 launchers for Starhawk cruise missiles, and 16 laser CIWS point-defense batteries. The London class were heavily armed with standard warship weapons, carrying 90 turbolaser batteries, 8 quad heavy turbolaser batteries, 4 triple medium turbolasers, 8 medium turbolasers, 70 ion cannons, and 4 duel heavy ion cannon turrets. The London class was designed to be able to best any Imperial ships of its size, and was more heavily armed than any Imperial ship of its size. London class ships were painted in Terran markings, and for all those named after cities, also often were painted with the seal of the city they were named for, or the flag of that city's country. The ships measured 1,760 meters long, making them almost a hundred meters longer than the Imperial-class Star Destroyers of the Empire. The London class Star Destroyer was almost double the size of the Victory class Star Destroyer they were based on.
